“Roaring Twenties Speakeasy”
How it works at SPEAKEASY SALS's
Part I
A visit to Sal's Speak Easy is a unique trip back into at time of mobsters, molls, flappers, shoot outs and bathtub gin. Guests will be met at the door by tough-guy gangsters asking them to check their guns. After the mood has been set, guests will be introduced to Sal and his gal, Bubbles LaRue, then treated to tunes of the 20s by the dulcet warbling of Trixie Truheart. Bugsy Tunes and his musicians will provide Background music while eight Fingers Cavatelli circulates among the guest, entertaining them with close up magic and banter.
After guest have relaxed and gotten into the "spirit" of the Twenties for an hour or so, Sal will welcome the group, utilizing information specific to them, followed by an interactive show. During his rendition of "Minne the Moocher," he'll engage audience participation for the chorus. Trixie will sing an upbeat number and Vito will gather 6 to 8 guests for a comic "sobriety test" to entertain the crowd. Vito explains to the guests that Elliott Mess could raid the place at anytime so it is necessary to be alert and prepared to avoid being jailed in this time of prohibition. As he shows them what they'll need to do, they are led into the lively musical number, "Ballin' the Jack." Eight Fingers does a magic show then Trixie returns to provide a comedic song with a guest she selects from the audience. At the show finale, Bubbles and a gangster teach the Charleston to several audience members. This is followed by a Charleston contest, wit the winning pair receiving a small prize provided by the people hosting this trip back to a time of gangsters, speakeasies and machine guns on the streets.
Following the contest, characters will continue their walk around activities for the remainder of the party along with interactive dancing.
Toward the end of the evening, a shoot-out can be staged with characters changing costumes. OR "The FEDS" can arrive late in the evening, shoot out the place and confiscate all the liquor. After their departure, the gangster door guards can announce, "We fooled them FEDS. There's more where that came from!" Their hidden "stash" of liquor will then be brought out for guest to enjoy. Culminating the action on this 2 1/2 hour event. In addition Harris, will be either "Rico," a little comic gangster who bugs everyone, or "Enrico Primavera, " a comic chef.
